Insurance Survey

 

An Insurance Survey provides your insurance underwriter with an assessment of the current and new replacement value for your vessel as well as highlighting any safety issues.  It includes an itemized list of onboard equipment so you can be assured of fair compensation should a loss occur.

 

As this survey is used by your insurance company to assign a dollar value to your vessel and its equipment, most insurance companies will require a new survey be completed every five years.  This update will ensure your safety and investment are adequately protected.

 

Some insurance companies will require an out of water survey, but not all, so contact your insurer to clarify what their requirements are prior to arranging with the surveyor.
