About Lyle Willson

 

I grew up on the coast of Vancouver Island and developed an interest in boats and boating from an early age, constructing my first wooden runabout while in my teens, and now have over thirty-five years of boating experience. 

 

My involvement in the marine industry has spanned over twenty-five years including marine surveying and consulting, vessel repair and maintenance, charter boat operation, marina management and marine search and rescue. 

 

Previouse training has included:

Transport Canada certified 60 Ton Master.

Transport Canada certified Motor Ship Engineer.

Sea Fire certificate in Marine Fire Fighting.

Canadian Coast Guard accredited Small Vessel Examiner & Instructor.

Canadian Coast Guard certificate in Rigid Hull Inflatable Rescue Craft Operation.

Canadian Coast Guard accredited Small Vessel Operator Instructor.

 

I have been a member surveyor with the “American Boat and Yacht Council” since 2004 and continually upgrade my knowledge and experience in the marine surveying industry.
